Don’t doubt me. Those were the words on Damian Lillard’s shirt that he wore for during a Dime interview earlier this year.  Those are also the words that no fan, critic, player or living being should ever think when the ball is in Lillard’s hands with a few seconds on the clock.

Last night, the 2012/13 Rookie of the Year found himself in a familiar position that he was just in the previous night when he sunk a game winner during OT against the Pelicans and one person that wasn’t doubting Lillard was HoopsWorld NBA expert Alex Kennedy who tweeted this with 7.1 seconds left in the game.

and then a few seconds later was able to tweet…

For the second straight game, Damian Lillard was “the man” and the hero with a cold  hearted game winner. A game winner against the more popular Kyrie Irving and his Cavs.  Irving, who had 25 points and 10 assists, was on a late tear to give the Blazers  a scare but Lillard and his monster line of 36/10/8 showed he was the better player on the night and punctuated it with the game winning three from the top of the NBA logo.

Hopefully this additional big game by the future All-Star removes all doubt and eventually gains support. Kennedy then shared a couple of tweets that shouldn’t be true but unfortunately are.
