I’m not one of those people who likes to end every sentence with Steph Curry and compare every great performance and shot with Steph Curry, but when D’Angelo Russell shot a 3, turned around and ran back on D before the shot went in against Steph Curry and the Warriors, I’m going to have to reference Steph Curry.
Russell also outscored Curry 21 to 18 as the Lakers handed the Warriors their 6th loss of the season by beating them 112-95!
Just as shocking as the win was how bad the LA duo of Russell & Clarkson outplayed the duo of Curry & Thompson: Russell & Clarkson were a combined 16-35 & 7-13 from 3 while Curry & Thompson combined for 13-40 & 1-18 from 3.
So how exactly did this happen? Look no further than the Kobe Bryant tribute socks the Lakers were wearing.
“The power of the socks,” said a joking Bryant after the game. “It’s got to be the socks.”
