D’Angelo Russell must have the Nets circled on his calendar. Last season, he put up a career-high 39 with eight 3-pointers and his now famous “Ice in my veins” celebration.

On Tuesday night, he came out on fire, knocking down five 3-pointers and racking up 17 of his 32 points in the opening quarter against the Nets. He also had four dimes and a season-high 8 boards to go with his season-high in points in just 31 minutes.

The best part is the Lakers have now won 6 of their last 8 games; the Lakers didn’t pick up their 6th win last season until Christmas.
