Was D’Angelo Russell drafted too early? Is he a bust? Is he better as a starter or a 6th man? Those are the questions I hear the most about Russell. My answers are maybe, no and don’t know. But I do know from the way the rookie has been playing in the past month, he’s looking like a future star for the team.
In the past week, he’s had back-to-back 20+ point games and on Tuesday he had 19 points to go with 7 (very impressive and flashy) assists in a victory over the Bucks. He also had his 2nd consecutive game with 3 steals and 2 3-pointers.
Russell was also on the receiving end of a pretty sick pass by Kobe Bryant.
