The first 2 points for the Lakers on Sunday came on a dunk by Julius Randle off a sweet bounce pass from D’Angelo Russell. The two connected again at the end of the 3rd quarter when Russell threw a “no-look” bounce pass to Randle but Julius was fouled hard on his way up for the dunk. I think it’s safe to say we are going to be seeing a lot of Russell to Randle over the next few months and hopefully years.

They both played 21 minutes and Randle, who missed last season with a broken tibia, finished with 7 points and 7 boards.  #2 pick Russell had 5 points, 3 boards, 2 dimes and 2 turnovers.
