Known to Fighting Illini fans as Brandon Paul’s “little” brother, 6’8 power froward Darius Paul has had a monster senior season leading Warren (Gurnee, IL) to its first national ranking. Last year Warren finished 2nd in the state (behind Chicago Simeon) and this year they are looking to win it all (current record of 15-2).
Along with 6’9 Dayton-bound teammate Nathan Boothe, Darius Paul uses his versatility as well as his tremendous size to dominate Warren Township High School’s opponents.
At the Pontiac Tournament, Darius Paul had 50 rebounds in 4 games. Warren HS ultimately fell to Chicago Curie (#3 in Illinois) in a double overtime semi-final in which Paul’s 21 points and 15 rebounds led the way for the Blue Devils. They took home the 3rd place trophy.
