I know the Spurs aren’t going to give up even if they had to go on the floor with just Joel Anthony and Bryn Forbes and I heard Danny Green (jokingly) say, “we got them right where we want them” but we really don’t need another game between the Spurs and Warriors. The Kawhi and Parker-less Spurs have no chance at a series comeback and after watching David Lee provide a spark off the bench in Game 3, then suffers a leg injury on an and-one layup and be taken to the locker room in a wheelchair, I think it’s best if this series just ends as quickly as possible.
The injury happened when Lee landed awkwardly after being fouled by Draymond Green. ESPN is reporting it’s a torn patellar tendon and a MRI is scheduled for Sunday.
Warriors fans might remember it was because of David Lee’s preseason injury in 2014 that Draymond got a chance to start and show how great of a player he is. When Lee returned from his injury, Green remained a starter and the Warriors went on to win a NBA championship.
