DeAndre Jordan had 6 points, 15 rebounds, 4 blocks and 1 elbow to the head of Dirk Nowitzki in his first game against the Dallas team he “screwed” this summer when he made a hand-shake deal with the Mavs before changing his mind and going back to the Clippers after a wild emoji game.
“I think we were disappointed, but we still have to move on as a franchise, and that’s what we did,” said Nowitzki, who got a little heated with Jordan after the elbow to the head. “That happens in free agency sometimes.”
Jordan refused to talk about the free agency decision after the game and told reporter to “go to Youtube and look at that press conference” if they wanted to hear him discuss that topic but did address the heated 2nd quarter and his incident with Dirk.
“It’s an NBA foul and it’s an emotional game,” Jordan said. “Nothing against Dirk at all.”
The emotions were high obviously because it was our home opener. We wanted to give the fans what they missed.”
The Clippers came away with an easy 104-88 win but one thing fans didn’t miss was seeing the hack-a-shaq strategy which was used for a stretch in this game. Jordan connected on 2 of 8 after going 0-3 in the Clips first game of the season.
