Still labeled as just a scorer and a dunker by many people that don’t get to watch many Raptors games, DeMar DeRozan has been showing a more complete game this season with career highs in almost every category.
Last night against the Celtics, DeMar once again lead the team in scoring with 23 points, grabbed a team high 8 boards and showed he has some handles to go with his hops.
DeMar actually has some pretty nice handles but since he’s one of the best dunkers in the league, his moves on the ground are often overshadowed by his moves in the air.
Two people that do appreciate what DeRozan has been doing is teammate Kyle Lowry and coach Casey who has been campaigning to get DeMar into the All-Star game and not just another dunk contest where he gets cheated year after year.
“Look at what he’s doing,” Lowry said of DeRozan. “He leads our team in scoring. He’s done a great job of being our go-to guy. He’s been a complete professional.”
