The Raptor lost their 5th straight game on Saturday…and it was against the Knicks. During that game DeMar DeRozan, who missed 12 of his 15 shots, had a play that summarized February for them. Midway through the first quarter, the two time cheated by the NBA dunk contest contestant got a steal and went for a 360 dunk and missed it pretty badly.
The missed 360 reminded me of the time when Jason Richardson attempted a 360 dunk, in the 4th quarter and down by 2, and got it blocked from behind by a trailing LeBron. The refs probably should have called a foul on this play but it wasn’t the smartest play to try by Richardson – even if he was a dunk contest champion.
