It was a rough night for DeMarcus Cousins. If getting beaten by 26 by the Rockets and watching Harden score 43 in 3 quarters wasn’t bad enough. Cousins also only played 3 quarters and that’s because he was ejected in the 3rd after picking up his league leading 14th and 15th techs. The next tech for Cousins will result in a suspension.
“He lost his composure, that’s all I saw, and then he got thrown out of the game. It’s disappointing. But to be honest, I’m more disappointed about how we played,” Kings coach Michael Malone said. “Do I condone his actions? No, not at all. Does he have to handle himself better? Sure he does. We just need to get him to understand that we don’t need him to get kicked out of the ball game.”
Cousins skipped the post game interviews but released his statement via Twitter later that night.
Disappointed with the way I acted out on the court tonight. I want to apologize and say sorry to my team and the fans for letting them down

Due to foul trouble, Cousins didn’t do much damage during his 20 minutes unless you consider the damage he did to Dwight’s knee.
