The Kings were without DeMarcus Cousins the last 3 times they played against the Warriors and on Monday night, they finally had the services of Boogie…for 12 minutes.
Cousins spent most of the first half in foul trouble and after getting whistled for a 5th foul in the 3rd quarter, he showed his frustration and was rewarded with a tech. This set him off and he was then hit with a tech from the other ref which led to his 10th career and NBA leading ejection.
“I’m not sure I liked how we responded,” coach George Karl said. “We had a tough, bad refereed game. But we can’t emotionally lose it.”
The King would go on to lose 103-122 and more credit should go to the play of Steph Curry (triple double), Klay Thompson (29 points) and Draymond Green (25 points) then to the guys in stripes.
