#TheReturn officially started Saturday when Adidas released the Derrick Rose “All In For Chicago” commercial. Less than 24 hours later, nearly five thousand screaming fans gathered at the United Center for a fun positive fan appreciation event for the city of Chicago that included the unveiling of the new Adidas D Rose 4 sneakers, mascot Benny The Bull, a dunk exhibition by three of the best dunkers in the world, comedian Leon Rogers, a performance by hip hop star Big Sean who was discovered by Chicago’s own Kanye West and of the course the return of Derrick Rose who is back from battling ninjas and sumo wrestlers during his international Adidas Summer Tour.
Ballislife was on hand for all of Sunday’s excitement including the dunk exhibition featuring YouTube sensations Guy Dupuy, Werm and Sir Isaac. Rose, Big Sean, who is only 5’8 and can touch the rim, and the fans were flashing a lot of of tens as they watched the impressive dunks that Bulls fans have been wishing years to see Derrick Rose perform in the NBA dunk contest. Although it’s very unlikely the former MVP will be competing in any future NBA dunk contests, don’t be surprised to see the former MVP back on the court next month and competing for a NBA Championship next June.
Check out some more excitement from yesterdays event as well as the latest Adidas spot featuring Rose and Big Sean. Also be sure to check out Dime Magazine’s interview with Rose about the new DRose 4 sneakers and getting ready for the upcoming season.
