One of the best summer pick-ups this season was probably the Knicks signing Brandon Jennings. During an interview with MSG Networks at the Knicks’ press conference to introduce Jennings and a few new teammates, hes said he doesn’t mind coming off the bench behind Rose, who is still one of the best point guards in the league today.  He also said he could learn a lot from him.

Well, during a training camp scrimmage this week, it looks like that lesson is, “you reach and I tech.”

Here’s another lesson.

These lessons are nothing new for Jennings. The two new teammates have been competing against each since their AAU high school days a decade ago.

Here’s a video of Rose dropping 28/8/9 on Jennings (19 points – all in the 4th) during a Simeon upset win over Oak Hill.

In their first meeting in the NBA, during Jennings rookie season, the numbers were a little closer: Rose had 19 points and 7 assists, while Jennings (the early ROY candidate) put up 15 points and 8 assists in a Bucks win.

And here’s a payback play Jennings probably doesn’t care to remember: Rose hitting a game-winning jumper over him.

You can see why Jennings is so excited to be playing with and not against Rose anymore. Now, plays like the following one just happen in practice.
