Once upon a time (yesterday) in Mexico, the red-hot shooter that is Devin Booker won a duel with the straight-faced killer that is Kawhi Leonard.
Booker, fresh off of tying his season-high of 39 points vs the Mavs, scored 39 again to help the Suns overcome a career-high 38 points from Leonard and pull out a 108-105 victory over the Spurs.
“Devin Booker does not want to leave Mexico, he’s averaging 39 points, so he wants to play Utah on Monday,” Suns coach Earl Watson said. “I’m excited for Devin, he’s only 20 years old and he won’t be 21 until October, so we are very excited about his progression and everything that he’s doing.”
And with media members looking like this, I wouldn’t want to leave either.
