Earlier in the Summer, Rafal “Lipek” Lipinski helped make the “Dunk over a guy standing on a chair” the most popular contest dunk of the summer. Lipek being the dunk innovator that he is, had to take the dunk to a new level once others started perfecting it. His latest twist to the dunk – finishing with an elbow dunk!
14 years ago, an elbow dunk would get you a 50 in a contest. Jumping over a guy would get you a 50 in a contest. Jumping over a guy standing on a chair would just end the contest. In 2014, we have dunkers merging multiple contest winning dunks into 1 dunk.
If all that wasn’t hard enough to accept, Lipek also pulled off a 540 dunk that some will consider a 720. Air Up There is the still the owner of the closest thing we have seen to a true 720 but considering most 360 dunks we see are actually 180s at best, i’m cool with people saying Lipek can pull off a 720.
