I’ve been watching Tim Duncan play basketball since 1995 and never knew his middle name was Theodore. I found that out this week when his “secret” divorce papers went public. That day was also probably the first day in 18 years I ever heard a story about Duncan’t personal life. Not that I really care about his personal life. I’m much more interested in his on the court accomplishments such as passing Shaq and Wilt Chamberlain in most double-doubles in the the playoffs. He’s only 14 away from beating Magic Johnson but even if he wins the NBA champion this year in a game 7 while accumulating a double double in every game, he’s still going to need another post season to break that record.
Magic is my all-time favorite player so I’m not pulling for him to break it but in the meantime, I’m enjoying watching the “old” but new “meaner” Duncan break hearts (JK), noses (video) and records.
