With a name like Kobe Howard you would think he would be a good dunker.  At yesterday’s Houston Rocket’s Blacktop Battle Dunk Contest, Kobe wanted to show off his hops by jumping over a kid.  His first attempt wasn’t even close but he didn’t hurt the kid.  On his 2nd attempt he almost decapitated the kid and didn’t come close to making the dunk.  The judges said enough is enough and told him to sit down before he hurt somebody and missed anymore.   Yesterday just wasn’t that great of day for Kobes.

On a more positive note, the runner up Terry, put down a few nice dunks but entertained the crowd with his showboating skills before and after dunks.  I’ll give him a 9 on his dunks and 10 for his breakdancing and gymnastics skills.
