Although I doubt Durant and Wade actually wake up from nightmares about each other, the Gatorade endorsers are on each other’s mind after exchanging a few comments towards each other last night on Twitter. During an interview (below) with CineSport, Kevin Durant said he would have replaced Dwyane Wade at the #8 spot on Sports Illustrated’s List of Top 10 Players with James Harden who did not make the list. Wade took offense to KD’s comment, or was just searching for motivation, and posted a note to his Instagram account that said,
“9-24-13: Kevin Durant said James Harden should replace me in the top 10 …. Note to self: Make him respect your place in history .. — again …” with the caption: Don’t believe me just watch.
Durant replied shortly after with a short but straight to the point put up or shut up tweet: Show me don’t tweet me..
You gotta love “NBA Twitter Beef,” the hoop version of “Bangin’ on Wax.”
