Dwight Howard might of lost a follower in Kobe Bryant and a few thousand friends in LA including Phil Jackson, Kareem and Ice Cube but he was in H-Town this morning making some new friends at my personal pick for best breakfast in H-Town.

The Breakfast Klub looks like a tiny restaurant on the outskirts of downtown Houston but on Saturday and Sunday mornings it has an outside line longer than lines at Rocket games (see video above).  A long line that often has celebs, rappers and basketball players (TJ Ford is a regular) in it.  Dwight Howard, wearing a Rockets shirt, was one of those basketball players today as he made his first stop in Houston at the famous breakfast spot for some “Katfish and Grits” along with Rockets trainer Keith Jones and treated the line of customers to a free meal.   He also posted an Instagram video of the place but called it “Breakfast Clubbbbb” with a C. C’mon Dwight, if you want to fit in with chopped and screwed people of Houston you can’t misspell the name of one of the most loved spots in Houston.

Thanks to #DwightAThon campaign by radio host Sean Pendergrast, Dwight wont have to pay for a lot of meals in Houston.  After hearing about Raising Cane’s offer of free chicken fingers fo life, he recruited a bunch of Houston spots to offer Dwight free food.   Papa Johns, The Egg & I, Firehouse Subs, Genghis Grill, Kolache Factory, Beef N Bun BBQ, Nick’s Place and Hubcap Grill all offered free food items.
