Maybe it was Hakeem Olajuwon’s presence on the sidelines? Maybe it was T-Mac? Maybe Bun B? But Dwight Howard made H-Town proud on Tuesday when he put up 18 points, 19 rebounds, 4 steals and 4 blocks as the “not that good” Rockets completed their sweep of the Dallas Mavs.
Besides putting up the beast numbers he did all series, he played aggressive and with a meanness Houstonians have been wanting to see – as evident by him pushing Monta Ellis off the court before throwing down a dunk or even trying to get into it with Dirk in the 2nd (video above) after an elbow from Nowitzki.
“We’ve worked extremely hard through a lot of adversity through the season,” said Dwight Howard. “To make it to the next round is big, but the job is not complete.”
