On March 12th, 2012, Dwyane Wade posted a picture of himself wearing a hoodie on Facebook in honor of Trayvon Martin who was shot and killed a couple of week earlier. A few hours later, the Miami Heat, all wearing hoodies, gathered in a hotel room and took a photo that LeBron James tweeted out with the hashtags #WeAreTrayvonMartin and #WeWantJustice.
Justice never came and 17 months after the first tribute pic and a month after the “not guilty” verdict, Wade and his sons, Zaire and Zion, are honoring Martin by appearing on 1 of the 4 separate covers of the latest issue of Ebony magazine titled “We are Trayvon.”
