For the first time in 5 years, Dwayne Wade is not in the NBA Finals. He originally was supposed to be on ABC covering the finals, but decided he had something more important to do. That’s not-so-great news for the Heat & ABC but great news for graduating student Negeen Fallahzadeh and Western High School.

Back in March, Negeen, who goes by @QueenNegeenWade on Twitter, wrote a letter to Wade and started the hashtag #WadeToWestern to catch the Heat star’s attention.

After months of persistent pushing by the student with a 4.2 GPA, she got Wade, who attended prom with a student at another Miami high school 2 years ago, to become part of the graduation ceremony.
