The Pacers ended the new year doing what they have been doing all season which was dominating highlight reels while dominating bad teams. Lead by Paul George’s 21 points and 8 boards and Lance Stephenson’s 8 assists, Indiana beat the Cavs as easy as ABC. ABC as in Andrew “Did he really hook up with the Assistant’s wife?” Bynum see you later and Anthony “worst #1 pick ever?” Bennett see you in the D-League.
The highlight of the night came late in the 4th with a 15 point lead when Lance Stephenson went baseline for a fancy fake pass and assist to Paul George who pumped his defender in the air before taking flight and throwing down a monster dunk.
The lowlight of the game was seeing Kyrie Irving leave with a knee injury. He said he felt a “pop” in his knee so hopefully it’s not a torn ACL. He’s scheduled to take a MRI today which is the worst way to start off the new year.
