I’m not optimistic of 3-on-3 basketball becoming an Olympic event like FIBA & USAB are pushing but since we played such a big part in the launch of the NBA3x (NBA’s Official 3on3 event), will be working with Hoop It Up next year and also launching our own 3 on 3 event (with a twist) later this year – I hope it happens.

Watching great athletes play 3 on 3 is actually pretty exciting.  Many of the most exciting plays I saw on the NBA Nation tour this summer came from the NBA3x games where everybody from D-League Allstars to streetball legends showed up.  I still regret not having a camera rolling when Will Bunton caught a missed shot and dunked on all 3 of the opponents and 1 of his teammates.

The clip above of Ira Brown’s alley oop isn’t as exciting as Bunton’s dunk but it’s still pretty nasty
