“We love basketball. That’s all we know.” said former NBA player Mike “Swole” Bibby after putting up a near triple-double (10/9/8) in a 98-80 victory in the $2 million The Basketball Tournament. The “we” he is referring to is him and former NBA player Jason “White Chocolate” Williams, who was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies in 2001 for Mike Bibby. The two former Kings have joined forces on William’s Orlando pro-am team, Pedro’s Posse, which is boostered by Chandler Parsons, Austin Rivers and Courtney Lee.
As expected, Williams had his share of fancy plays, including a off the bounce alley-oop pass, and finished the game with 17 points (7-12 fg, 3-7 3pt) and 10 assists.
The posse will take on team Purple and Black today.
