Tim Duncan may not be a MVP candidate this season but the 3 x Finals MVP and 2 x NBA MVP was the hero of the night when he rejected James “I think i’m MVP” Harden at the end of the game to give the Spurs a 104-103 victory.
“It was a good opportunity for me to get redemption at the end,” Duncan said referring to his rare missed shot in the final minute.
Duncan did make 12 of 15 shots and finished the game with a game-high 29 points (13 more than Harden) and 10 rebounds to go with his clutch block.
“Got to finish,” said Harden. “I’ve just got to finish.”
The Spurs have now won 10 in a row.
