Taco Bell is known for serving “meat” that may or may not be made of meat and some pretty horrible commercials. In the 90s, they had the Shaq and Hakeem things going although Hakeem ruined the campaign by backing out of the pay-per-view event at the last minute, then they had the annoying Taco Bell Chihuahua and around 2001 they gave a then unknown Daniel Tosh a couple of a commercials where they made the mistake of giving him lines that made less sense than his lines from that “Love Guru” film.
For the past decade, I’m having a hard time recalling an enjoyable Taco Bell commercial but I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the latest titled “Hurricane Doug” featuring two of the best dunkers in the world – Young Hollywood and Airdogg of West Coast Dreamers.
Haneef “Young Hollywood” Munir was one of our featured athletes in the Honda #BestYourself series and he and co-star Michael “Airdogg” Stewart have been recently seen dunking over everybody from Blake Griffin to Shawn Kemp to rapper Tyga to Chris Paul at Matt Barne’s kids birthday party.
