“Just all-out heart, and determination, and will, and perseverance, and not quitting,” coach Frank Vogel said. “We got down so many times and had so many opportunities to give in. They just persevered through it.”
George Hill missed a triple double by 1 rebound but made a clutch 3 in double OT to help the Pacers pull off a victory over the Washington Wizards in one of the lowest scoring double OT games I’ve ever seen.
The Pacers failed to score over 18 points in each of the first 2 quarters and the Wizards failed to do it in the first and 3rd quarter. The highest scoring quarter for either team was 25 and both teams scored 4 points in the first OT.
