“I’m sure there’s going to be people that don’t agree with my decision but also there’s going to be people that do agree.”

Pacers George Hill selected children over USA Basketball back in June by attending his youth camp in Texas instead of the Team USA training camp in Vegas. Out of the 30 invitees, he was the only one that declined knowing that it might hurt his chances on ever being selected to play with the team but I respect his decision to help kids that need the help more than Team USA.

“I probably messed up my chances, but if I can impact one kid’s life … that’s way more important than the USA basketball team.” said Hill talking to TMZ Sports at Venice Beach on “Ron Beals Day.”

Hill was only supposed to show up to the VBL to sign some autographs but ended up giving the fans a little more by playing the entire game.  You can probably see the trend here – George Hill is a good guy.  He also has a Skills Academy coming up at the end of the month on the 31st.  Check out for more info.
