Gerald Green dunks & ducks to avoid hitting his head on the backboard

We have seen him impress his teammates by jumping without a ball and putting his head and shoulders above the rim in practice but it’s unlikely that Gerald Green would use that much of his hops on a spontaneous random dunk in a game…unless it was a bad alley-oop pass that would require him to jump higher than he normally would on a game dunk. ┬áBut last night against the Kings, Green caught the ball cutting to the basket and without taking a dribble, elevated so high on a dunk that he had to duck to avoid hitting his head on the rim or backboard.

More impressive than that was Green was the Sun’s leading scorer with 23 and 8 of those points came off 3 pointers. Green has been in double figures in 7 out of 10 games this season and his 23 marks his second 20+ point game so far.
