Basketball might of been the 3rd most searched Sport in 2012 but a few individuals in the NBA generated the most buzz.

LeBron being the most searched NBA player wont surprise anyone but it may surprise you that he didn’t make the top 10 most trending atheletes especially when the #1 athlete on the list is the #2 most searched NBA player – Jeremy Lin.   Linsanity only existed for a few months but it was one of the biggest sports stories of the past decade or so and the entire nation was searching to find out more about the modern day Seabiscuit.

Dwight Howard was the other NBA player that made the most trended athletes list and that’s because of the Dwightmare summer and early nightmares with the Lakers.

Most of the other entries in the top 10 NBA players were due to off season moves but Lamar Odom at

#6 is a bit surprising.  I have a feeling this has more to do with this off the court life than on.
