Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins are by far the best Twin Towers in the NBA and might even go down as a better one than Tim Duncan and David Robinson since The Admiral was past his prime. I might get blasted with the following comment but I believe the Bucks duo of Giannis Antetokounmpo and rookie Thon Maker actually have the potential to be as good.
On Friday, Giannis, fresh off a great showing at NBA All-Star weekend, put up a crazy line of 33 points (10-16 shooting), 12 boards, 5 steals, 3 assists and 2 threes, while Thon, in a rare start, scored just 3 points in 14 minutes. They both also ended up on a poster generated by All-Star Gordon Hayward.
Hayward scored a team-high 29, dunked on the Greek Freak early in the first quarter, at the end of the first quarter and on Thon in the third quarter! He unofficially became the first white guy in NBA history to dunk on a pair of 7 footers in the same game…and without messing up his hair. ESPN, how about that for a stupid stat?
