The funeral of Eric Garner, who died on a city street after he was put in a banned choke hold by a NYPD cop, was held this past Wednesday in Brooklyn. Friends and family paid their respects at the Bethel Baptist church while many other celebrities, from Kevin Hart to Harrison Barnes, voiced their opinions about the incident on Twitter. Spike Lee even created a mash-up video using footage from his film “Do The Right Thing.”

Last night at the Under the Lights League in Staten Island, a basketball player named Brian, wearing a “RIP Eric Garner” shirt, made a statement by dunking over a NYPD Cop car. It wasn’t a great dunk in terms of difficulty but I can’t remember the last time a dunk had any meaning behind it.
