The Sacramento Kings may be one of the lesser franchises in the NBA over the last few years. They had issues figuring out where the team is going, Seattle or staying in Sacramento. They haven’t finished above .5oo since ’05-’06 and, I know I’m dating myself on this one, but they haven’t won a championship since 1950-1951 when they played in Rochester ad were called Royals. However, for the last four years they had one of the most entertaining players in Tyreke Evans. The 6’6″ guard has given us some of the nastiest ankle breakers and nicest posters we’ve ever seen from a Kings player and has shown a great amount of potential to be a role player on a contending team. Maybe the move to New Orleans was what he needed to team up with Anthony Davis, Austin Rivers and Jrue Holiday and become a threat in the West. As for now, it’s still the offseason and it’s the 2009-2010 Rookie of the Year’s 24th birthday!

With the roster than New Orleans has now, they might not be a team to take too seriously within the next few seasons, but they should be a lot of fun to watch.
Tyreke, happy birthday and welcome to New Orleans.
