The Suns and Nuggets game must have been a treat for UK fans, watching former Wildcats Devin Booker and Jamal Murray each score 30 in a fun shootout.
Murray broke out of a shooting slump (5-of-23 in his last three games) with 30 points on 10-of-17 shooting and 5-of-8 from three. Booker matched Murray’s 30 (11-23 FG, 4-11 3PT) and tossed in 5 boards and 5 assists in the 108-100 win for the Suns, snapping their three-game losing streak.
One of the best moments of the game came in the 2nd quarter, when Booker knocked down a three over Murray then celebrated by doing Murray’s bow and arrow celebration. Early in the third quarter, Murray got some payback by throwing down a dunk on Tyson Chandler and then following it up by driving through the entire Suns defense and throwing down a two-hand dunk on Booker.
There’s a couple of great angles of Murray’s back-to-back dunks starting at the 2:29 mark of the following video.
