The Rockets played again without big man Dwight Howard against the Kyrie-less Cavs but got some big numbers from James Harden who put up 37 points and 11 assists before sitting out the 4th quarter.

“I just tried to be aggressive and be in attack mode to get to the rim,” he said. “If the drive is there, I take it. If it’s not, I’ll do something else. I just use my basketball instincts.”

Those instincts really kicked in the 3rd quarter when Harden scored 17 of his 37 points.

“Great players do that, they get going,” Rockets coach Kevin McHale said. “I’ve seen James do it countless times, but that’s what separates him from a lot of players. He has the ability to do that.”

Despite the final score of 119-111, the Rockets had a 29 point lead in the 3rd and Harden sat out the final quarter.
