In a night of blowouts, one team I wasn’t expecting to get blown out was the Golden State Warriors. More shocking than the Rockets beating them by 22 is that the Warriors only scored 83 points in the game which included a 12 and 17 point quarter.
Steph Curry did have 22 points but was just 5 of 14 from the floor and only hit 1 3 pointers. He’s only 2 away from breaking Jason Richardson’s franchise record of 700. Curry also committed 8 of the Warriors 22 turnovers.
22 is also the number of shots James Harden took on his way to 34 points. Harden also got help from Dwight who contributed 22 points and 18 rebounds. Harden looked comfortable out there and scored over 15 for the first time in 8 games. Maybe his Dwight Howard camp on Thursday night gave him some extra motivation and showed him how much the people in Houston appreciate him.
