James Harden goes off for 44 points & 8 assists in OT win over the Kings
A night after scoring 34 points against the Warriors, James Harden went off for 44 points (on 32 field goal and 15 free throw attempts) in an OT victory over the Kings on Thursday night. 10 of those 34 came in OT and he also kept on racking up the assists with a game-high 8.
“He was rolling. In overtime he just took over,” Houston coach Kevin McHale said.
“I knew I had a lot left,” said Harden, who shot 14-for-32 and made 13 of 15 free throws. “I just wanted to attack and create opportunities. I didn’t shoot well in the first four quarters, but I wanted to come out aggressive in overtime.”
