James Harden had the entire city of Houston celebrating after Sunday’s Game 7 win against the Clippers, but he made a couple of kids in attendance a little extra happy when he gave away his shoes.
The first shoe was thrown into the crowd by Harden and caught by these two.
The kid named Michael Horn proudly boasted on Twitter that his uncle caught Harden’s shoe. When another fan tweeted a response to Michael saying she was jealous, he replied “No joke. I was like Senior Graduation Present Right?” I’m assuming the Uncle rejected the idea.
The other shoe was given personally to a kid from Harden who autographed the sneaker first.
And once again we have another case of rejection. If you watch closely, you can see Harden borrowing the pen from a kid holding a jersey. He uses it to sign his shoe and then gives it to another kid while the pen owner tried to accept the signed shoe.
Well at least he can say Harden touched his pen. I know that didn’t sound right.
And it looks like his Mom isn’t too happy about it either.
