James Johnsons’ 4th quarter dunk on Marcus Morris was so nasty, a few of the Heat players like Willie Reed and Wayne Ellington needed a hug and Tyler Johnson looked so frightened, he almost turned all white.
The dunk of the year candidate was also a much needed two points as the Pistons outscored the Waiters-less Heat 27-19 in the final quarter to give them a one-point lead over the Heat in the final seconds. Lucky for the Heat, Hassan Whiteside had a game-winning tip at the buzzer to give them a one-point win and keep their playoff hopes alive.
As for the Pistons, losers of eight of their last nine, they all needed hugs after the game.
