The Mayans were wrong about the world ending in 2012 but Javale McGee might of given us the first sign that 2013 is the year of the apocalypse.   Playing without Ty Lawson, the Nuggets ended the Clippers’ 17 game winning streak (longest since Boston’s 19 in 2008) by convincingly beating them by 14 points.   The Nuggets lead the whole way but at the end of the 3rd quarter Javale McGee hit his first career 3 pointer to put Denver up 75-59.  That 3 meant end of game, end of streak and hopefully not the end of the world.

Hopefully we also don’t see McGee fall into that trap that Andrew Bynum did when he tasted the thrill of a 3 pointer.
