“Jeremy Lin killed us the whole night,” said Celtics’ coach Brad Stevens. “He was really effective in a lot of ways — not only scoring the ball, but also getting into the paint and making plays for others.”
Linsanity was back on Sunday. Jeremy Lin came off the bench and scored a season-high 25 points on 10 of 11 shooting and dished out 6 assists in an OT win over the Celtics. The last time a bench player had a 25 & 5 game while shooting 65% was in 1996 when Magic Johnson did it.
The performance helped LA snap a 7-game losing streak which looked like it was going to be 8 when Avery Bradley forced OT with this heartbreaker over Lin at the end of regulation.
But it was all Lakers in OT as LA outscored Boston 12 to 5 in the extra session and it was all fun and love during Jeremy Lin’s postgame interview which was video bombed by Nick Young, Jordan Hill and a scary Carlos Boozer.
