Jeremy Lin wants some Lindorsements
In 2012, Jeremy Lin told Sports Illustrated “If I really wanted to, I could have triple-digit endorsements.” I don’t know if he meant triple-digit as in dollars or volume of products but Lin seemed pretty selective with the deals he was signing (Nike & Volvo) back then.
Well, a lot has changed since 2012, especially his marketing value when “Linsanity died” and Lin moved to Houston and was really only appreciated by the Vietnamese community and shoppers at the Hong Kong Market on Bellaire.
Earlier in the year, Lin also moved from Nike to the Adidas family and then in July the Rockets sent him packing to LA where I think his marketing value could and should rise again. He seems to be getting along great with his new teammates and as evident by his appearance at a local mall yesterday, there’s a lot of people in LA that still believe in and love Linsanity.
Now that Lin is in a bigger market, it’s only a matter of time until he starts getting those triple digit endorsement offers again but let’s hope the Harvard Grad is smart enough not to agree to everything his friends tell him to do – check the video above – although Boba Tea is one of the 5 best things in the world (Avocado smoothies with boba/tapioca pearls and Durian smoothies with rainbow jelly are my favs).
Speaking of families, we would like to welcome Lin to one our families and no i’m not saying that because I’m part Asian. Lin recently joined the Whistle Network which Ballislife is proudly a part of. The Whistle has been adding a lot of great video content producers over the past few months and if you have been keeping up with Lin’s videos this summer then you will know there’s not many NBA players putting out better content then him.
Now let’s hope that helps him get some more “Lindorsements!”
