Joe Ingles & Donovan Mitchell Hilariously Talk About The ROOKIE's Putback Dunk vs the Rockets

So how big was Donovan Mitchell on Wednesday night? The ROOKIE (of the year) had a double-double with 17 points, 11 assists (breaking John Stockton's franchise rookie record for assists in a game) and 5 boards as the Jazz took Game 2 in H-Town.

For much of the night, he couldn't hit a shot: 16-21 FG. Thankfully, the NBA Slam Dunk Contest winner has crazy hops, which turned one of his 15 misses into the highlight of the night.

"To be honest with you, I was just trying to shoot a floater and get a rebound. But I just happened to be up there so I figured, 'why come down with it?'"

The postgame response about his putback dunk got a laugh from teammates Alec Burks, Rudy Gobert and Joe Ingles, who joked that Mitchell's "mid-air decision should have been to get back on transition defense."

Mitchell also generated some awkward laughs by saying, "I think Dante was a little bigger and better. Pause."

Exum's exclamation dunk in the final minute was over PJ Tucker, who threw a fit earlier in the game because he wasn't able to wrestle the ball out of Mitchell's hands.
