Joakim Noah followed up his triple double performance with another great all-around game last night in a Bulls win over the Nets. He had 14 points 13 rebounds 7 assists and surprisingly was the peace maker when he stepped between a pissed off Jimmy Butler and a rarely seen trouble making Joe Johnson in the 3rd quarter.
“I don’t say too much, so if I’m mad, you must have really done something to get underneath my skin,” Butler said. “He poked me in the head then backed backwards. I don’t think he wanted any of that. I don’t play to fight, but come on, man, just play basketball.”
With 11 points on 4 of 14 shooting, Joe didn’t play basketball very well on Thursday night and wasn’t showing much love on the eve of Valentines Day when he pushed Butler’s buttons with an elbow and poke to the head. Both players were give techs but things eventually calmed down and the Butler, Noah and the Bulls then went on a 17-4 4th quarter run that resulted in a 92-76 victory for Chicago.
