Joel Embiid is a pain in the ass to own in Fantasy leagues but he’s a lot of fun to watch when he’s not on your fantasy team. On Saturday, Embiid not only played when many thought he was sitting, he recorded a career-high 26 points in just 20 (freaking restricted) minutes. He also had 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks and 3 3-pointers!
“I felt great,” said Embiid, who scored 17 of his 26 in the first quarter. “When you play, you don’t really pay attention to those kind of things. During the game, I was fine. Even now, it’s fine.”
If you are wondering if those 3 3-pointers is a career-high, he was a perfect 4 of 4 against the Cavs earlier this month. But the 3 of 5 shooting did push his 3PT % to .500 for the season, which is higher than his overall FG% (.440).
ASSIST OF THE WEEK
If there’s two stats Embiid doesn’t stand out in, it’s in the steals and assists department. But on Friday, he had the assist of the night (or was he trying to get a steal?) and it wasn’t even to one of his own teammates.
