The We-Are-Not-Tanking-On-Purpose-Lakers outscored the Wizards 37-27 in the third quarter of Tuesday’s game and seemed to be on their way to their second victory in nine games. ┬áThen they collapsed in the final quarter as the Wizards outscored them 37-13, came away with a 10-point victory and clinched their first division title in 38 years.

“It’s a great accomplishment,” said Wall, who had a game-high 34 points along with 14 assists. “It’s something we can cherish, but we have bigger goals and our minds set on other things.”

As for the struggling Lakers, with just eight games left in their season, they only have two wins since the All-Star break. But they also have bigger goals and I’m sure their minds are all on the future NBA draft and the possibility of landing Lonzo (and LaVar) Ball.
