John Wall had a season-high 36 points, 13 assists, 7 rebounds, 7 steals and a chance to be the last second hero….but missed a layup at the end of regulation which would have forced OT.

“Hey listen, that was a hell of a battle,” Wizards’ coach Wittman said of the final shot. “You can’t point to one thing.”

What made the final miss so heartbreaking is Wall blew past 4 defenders in 3.9 seconds and got a wide-open look right in front of the basket.
