Last week ESPN released an amusing Taken 3 video promo with Liam Neeson calling John Wall and saying the Knicks have “special skills” and they will be using them to beat the Wizards on Christmas Day. Well, that didn’t happen. The Wizards won behind 24 points and 11 assists by Wall and the Knicks tried every skill they had, including getting rough like Liam Neeson (in Taken, Batman or The Grey….not Schindler’s List), to stop the man who is arguably the best point guard in the league right now.
“I’m just a feisty guy that likes to compete,” Wall said. “And I want to win games.”
That feisty guy’s 20 & 10 game tied him with Nikola Vucevic for most double doubles this season and gave him a huge lead for most 20 & 10 assists games. His 9 is just 1 less than LeBron (6) and James Harden or Steph Curry (4 each) have combined.
With these type of stats and performances like this one at MSG, you can guarantee that he will be back at MSG for the upcoming All-Star game.
But the best Wall video didn’t come from the game vs the Knicks but during the half-time of the game.
